The farmhouse's classic silhouette is flanked by a guesthouse, saltwater pool, inground hot tub, gardens, over 71 acres of private trails and sweeping views. The property lies 100 miles northwest of the city but feels much farther. Constructed circa 1888, Sky Meadow is a timeless beauty that evolved organically over the decades. The overlapping hills are visible from well-placed picture windows, as well as from most rooms in the house. The farmhouse kitchen naturally flows into the dining room. A grand stone fireplace in the living room anchors the first floor, while the large screened porch brings the outside in. The second floor is where you'll find three bedrooms, one of which is currently used as a work from home space, and the shared bathroom. A breezeway leads you to a smaller wing of the house with an oversized fourth bedroom and en suite bathroom. The guesthouse was built in 2009, with posts and beams from a barn that was taken down in Pennsylvania. Primitive modern, the structure has local wood siding and high R-value windows, while the envelope features structural insulated panels (SIP) in the walls and roof. The first floor is home to a one-car garage, full bathroom and laundry. The second floor houses the living quarters, with two bedrooms, each with private en suite bathrooms.
