You will hear bikes going by before you finish unpacking. Manhattan is 60 miles east. Campbell Hall station is about 15 minutes for the Port Jervis line, Route 17 is minutes out, and Stewart International is about 25. Day to day, ownership is straightforward. Natural gas heat, municipal water and municipal sewer, so the utilities are the ordinary kind and anything you open up, you opened on purpose. This house has stood on this lot since 1820. It has been looked after and lived in all that while, and what it needs now is somebody with the eye to see it finished and the nerve to start. A year from now you will be pulling in at dusk, lights on across three buildings, two of them earning while you eat dinner in the third, and every bit of it yours.
